American Heart Association CPR courses
The BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.
In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Provider course requires approximately 4 hours to complete, including skills practice and skills testing. AHA BLS Course Completion Card is valid for two years. Approximately 4 hours $100 - includes student manual.
This course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 U.S. states. It teaches child care providers and others to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Approximately 3 hours $55.
Instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrives. Students learn duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers; first aid actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke; and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings. Heartssaver and First Aid - Approximately 5.5 hours $100
The New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) has specific regulations about giving medication to children in child day care settings. The regulations require all child day care programs that choose to administer medication, other than over-the-counter topical ointments, sunscreen and topically applied insect repellent, to meet certain conditions including having staff who are approved to give medication in a child care setting. OCFS approved the following Medication Administration Training course for you to fulfill this requirement.

Heartsaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory , or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. For many Heartsaver courses, students receive a course completion card that is valid for 2 years. Approximately 3 hours $55.
The Family & Friends CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and mild and severe airway block for adults, children, and infants. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.
Family & Friends CPR is for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a CPR course completion card to meet a job requirement. This course is ideal for community groups, new parents, grandparents, babysitters, and others interested in learning how to save a life. Approximately 3 hours $50.

20 hours of instructor-led classroom training – cost $399
This course is designed to provide inactive nurses with an update of both the theoretical content and clinical practice needed to return to employment in nursing. Content will include the nursing process, nursing assessment, legal-ethical issues, common IV and drug therapy and medical- surgical conditions encountered in contemporary practice. Participants can expect to received up-to-date information on health problems, new technology and the current role expectations of the registered professional nurse. Experienced faculty in a supportive environment will assist the nurse who wishes to return to bedside nursing. Clinical experiences will help the nurse gain confidence and skill in order to be able to function with adult medical/surgical clients.
This is a 60 hour training course with completion certification provided. Cost $1400 (one of the lowest, instructor –led RN refresher courses in the industry).
